High Noon has issued a recall after discovering that several Celsius-branded cans were mistakenly filled with vodka seltzer instead of an energy drink.
A manufacturing error led to a mix-up where empty Celsius cans, specifically Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz, were sent to High Noon’s facility and filled with alcohol. These mislabeled cans made their way into High Noon Beach Variety 12-packs, posing a serious risk to unaware consumers.
The affected cans feature a silver top while authentic Celsius drinks come with black lids and carry the lot code L CCB 02JUL25 2:55 to 3:11, printed on the can’s bottom.
The mislabeled products were shipped between July 21 and July 23, 2025, and reached retail shelves in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Gallo, the parent company of High Noon, said the recall is precautionary. So far, no injuries or illnesses have been reported. The company is now working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to remove the affected packs from circulation.
The mix-up raises major concerns about consumer safety. Individuals who avoid alcohol for medical, religious, or age-related reasons could have unknowingly consumed vodka. Both High Noon and Celsius admitted the seriousness of the mistake and pledged to tighten their packaging and supply chain procedures.
This incident underlines the importance of clear labeling, especially when companies use shared suppliers or identical packaging formats.
What Consumers Should Do:
- Check the bottom of any Celsius Astro Vibe cans.
- Look for the lot code: L CCB 02JUL25 2:55–3:11.
- Examine the lid color; silver tops indicate affected cans.
- Do not consume the product if it matches the above.
Consumers can contact High Noon Spirits for a refund or more information via their official website.
