Pink Denies Carey Hart Breakup Rumors as “Fake News”

Pink shut down separation rumors on Instagram on February 26, calling reports that she and Carey Hart had split “fake news” and “not true.” The video, posted to her official account, marked her first public response to claims published by multiple celebrity outlets citing unnamed sources.

The singer said she had no knowledge of any separation – and added that her children, Willow Sage Hart, 14 and Jameson Moon Hart, 9, were equally unaware of the reports.

Rather than stopping at a denial, Pink used the moment to redirect public attention toward what she described as more substantive stories. She referenced the Epstein files, systemic racism, misogyny in sports and U.S. women athletes at the 2026 Olympics – noting women accounted for eight of 12 American medals.

Pink also highlighted her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination for the Class of 2026, her first year of eligibility, asking: “Do you want to talk about my accomplishments? Or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?”

She is nominated alongside Phil Collins, Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, Oasis, Iron Maiden, Sade, Shakira and Wu-Tang Clan, among others. Inductees will be announced in April, with the ceremony scheduled for fall.

Pink, 46 and Carey Hart, 50, married in January 2006 after meeting at the 2001 X Games. The couple briefly separated in 2008 before coordinating in 2009. Hart credited honest communication for the durability of their relationship in a 2024 interview.

People updated its original report to reflect the denial.
