Tommy Lee Jones has confirmed details emerging around the death of his daughter, Victoria Kafka Jones, after an official determination by the San Francisco medical examiner. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco ruled her death an accident caused by the toxic effects of cocaine.
Victoria Kafka Jones died on January 1, 2026, at age 34. She was found at the Fairmont San Francisco in the early hours of New Year’s Day after emergency responders were dispatched to the hotel at about 2:52 a.m. local time for a medical emergency.
Dispatch audio described the incident as “code 3 for the overdose, color change.” Paramedics performed an assessment and the person was declared deceased. The San Francisco Fire Department said police and the medical examiner’s office were called to the scene and control was turned over to them. Authorities did not suspect foul play.
Tommy Lee Jones and his family issued a statement on January 2, 2026, thanking people for their kind words and requesting privacy during mourning. She is survived by her older brother, Austin Jones and her parents, Tommy Lee Jones and his ex-wife, Kimberlea Cloughley.
