Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk Dinner Photo Appears in Epstein Files

Newly unsealed U.S. Department of Justice records tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation have surfaced a photograph that has renewed attention around prominent tech leaders. The image, dated August 2015, shows Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk seated next to each other at a private dinner alongside several well-known figures from Silicon Valley and academia.

According to the disclosed records, the photograph was emailed by Epstein to himself and appears to have been taken by him. Epstein is not visible in the image. Separate emails from the same period describe the gathering as a dinner with “zuckerburg, musk, thiel and hoffman,” which Epstein characterized as “wild.”

Who Was Reportedly At The Dinner

  • Elon Musk
  • Mark Zuckerberg
  • Peter Thiel
  • Reid Hoffman
  • Joi Ito (Former MIT Media Lab director)

The dinner was reportedly organized by Reid Hoffman to honor MIT neuroscientist Ed Boyden. Epstein also referenced the planned event in an email to physician Peter Attia, listing several of the same attendees.

Statements From Those Involved

Individual Public Response
Mark Zuckerberg Meta said he met Epstein once briefly at the dinner and had no further contact
Elon Musk Confirmed attending the dinner, denied introducing Zuckerberg and said he never joined Epstein-hosted parties

The dinner itself was previously reported in 2019. The newly released photo and emails add visual context but do not introduce allegations of wrongdoing against Zuckerberg or Musk. The documents are part of a wider disclosure tied to the Epstein investigation.
