Survivor 50 premiere launches Season 50, branded “In the Hands of the Fans,” with 24 returning players competing in Fiji for a $1 million prize. CBS scheduled the three-hour opener for February 25, 2026, at 8 p.m. PT/ET, with new episodes set to follow weekly in the same time slot.
The opening episode delivers two immediate departures. Jenna Lewis-Dougherty becomes the first player voted out in a blindside at the first Tribal Council. Kyle Fraser exits after an injury in the first Immunity Challenge, with the show’s doctor determining a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Fan influence is built into early gameplay through “dynamic” advantages selected by vote. Ozzy Lusth earns an Extra Vote after losing the Exile Island challenge tied to a supplies exchange. Genevieve finds the season’s first idol, labeled a “Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol,” which must be given to another tribe and returns only if its holder is voted out with it.
